Exceptional story about an extremely passionate and gifted man. The story unfolds very nicely through glimpses of Brian when the Beach Boys rose to fame (expertly played by a very talented yet underrated Paul Dano) and glimpses of Brian years later (well done by John Cusak).
Paul Giamatti does a wonderful job as the unethical doctor that claims to have full rights to the care and well-being of a very confused and overdrugged Brian. Elizabeth Banks does a fine job as the girlfriend of the older Brian.
The past glimpses of Brian played by Paul Dano really help to setup the final stages of the movie by bringing it to a very powerful conclusion that leads you wanting more from this very talented man. A must see movie for any fans of this genre of music.
