Yes, its unique angle on the biopic is wonderful. Yes, the performances by Cusack and Dano are crazy good. And yes, the mental illness stuff is palpably terrifying. But what this movie really does well is show the creative process in an entertaining and authentic fashion.
One of my favorite musical biopics of all-time.
