Review of Love & Friendship (2016) by Brian O — 21 Sep 2016

I absolutely love Jane Austen and most any period piece but I was incredibly disappointed with this movie. I had no attachment to any of the characters and didn't care at all what happened to any of them.

They were all so two dimensional. It's a shame because I feel like it could have been an excellent movie if less attention was placed on Lady Susan (who had no redeeming qualities whatsoever) and more attention placed on developing the characters and love story between DeCourcy and Lady Susan's daughter.

This could have been a much more enthralling Pride and Prejudice type movie but instead was just kind of boring and annoying.
