Review of Love and Death (2013) by Willem W — 19 Jul 2007
Woody spoofs Russian literature and gets consistent laughs. He also manages to work in some philosophical insights among the puns, slapstick, sight gags, and mayhem. There's a scene where a French General is plotting against Napolean and he says something like "From this day forward, my name will be known throughout history, it will echo through the ages.
.. Sidney Applebaum!" That puts me into hysterics every time. Diane Keaton gamely goes along with the nonsense and holds her own comedically with the Wood Man.
