Review of Love and Death (2013) by Ivan M — 03 May 2012
Another case of Allen's more intelligent comedies going brilliantly well. One can very much tell that Allen was essentially providing a more comical take on the stories that filmmakers such as Ingmar Bergman would tell, the humour being both sophisticated and hilarious.
There's not much to talk about with this film, it's just a really great movie. All in all I think it's a comedy that can be enjoyed by anyone, whether they're just after a good laugh or an intelligent piece of art, they'll get many tasters of both.
