Review of Love Affair (1994) by David H — 03 Dec 2010
Troy loves AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER and had never seen this flawed but effective remake. I hadn't seen it for several years and appreciate it more now than I did upon it's release in 1994. Annette Bening is simply mesmerizing and doesn't hit a false note.
Katharine Hepburn's final screen role is brief but absolutely memorable and a beautiful farewell to her legendary career. The film was a flop in 1994 upon its release but I believe that time has been good to it.
"If you can paint, I can walk"....cue the weeping.
