Review of Louis C.K.: Hilarious (2010) by James N — 23 Feb 2011
The man is brilliant. He's vulgar, polarizing, brutally honest, and yes, absolutely hilarious. I don't even have the words for how much of a breath of fresh air Louis C.K.'s comedy is, in this Post-George-Carlin world, where the likes of Dane Cook (no-talent, supercilious joke thief), Carlos Mencia (racist joke thief who is not Mexican), and Larry the Cable Guy (enough already) are some of the most successful comedians who actually have a following. Louis C.K. shows those clowns how it's done.
And since this is one more place to say it, the executives at HBO made a fatal error when they cancelled Lucky Louie, which is still better than any show in that formerly great network's current lineup. Cheers to FX and to Louis C.K. for bringing us the singularly wonderful series "Louie".
