Review of Louis C.K.: Hilarious (2010) by Tim S — 10 May 2013
The one thing that I appreciate when it comes to stand-up comedy is not just the comedy itself but the truthfulness of what a comedian is saying, and whether you agree with it or not. Hilarious is just such an example.
Louis C.K. comes out swinging and knocked me completely out with a flawless comedy routine involving everything from his two daughters to how impatient society is with technology. I really don't have any complaints about it at all.
My face was hurting afterwards from laughing so hard. Like all of his material, it's funny and subversive, but this particular routine goes beyond even that. It's a classic.
