Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Rob — 16 May 2006
I have done a lot of travel over the last few years, very rarely stayed in big hotels, or partied in cool nightclubs. But Sofia truely captures the essence of cross cultural travel. The hum of hotel corridors, the comforting buzz of unknown tounges, the multitude of possabilityin every interaction.
Even the soundtack is sublime, but probably means a lot more to people of a certain age, shoegazer rock made life bearable in my teens. Just as watching this film calms my travel bug and makes home life bearable in my thirties.
