Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Brian L — 04 May 2012
This movie is just a good good movie. It's very slow and quiet, but so engaging, There's such an atmosphere to it. The script and directing of Sofia Coppala is wonderful and Bill Murray turns in a surprisingly touching role, as does Scarlett Johansson.
The two have great chemistry together. However, the best thing about this movie is that there is not one cliche, not one forced moment, not one OUNCE of bullshit. It is a very real and very sincere experience of a movie and I love it.
