Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Lauren W — 08 Oct 2012
Lost In Translation isn't the best film i've ever seen, but it has the best character i've ever known.
Charlotte is just a lost girl (or woman?) trying to figure out what to do with her life, relationships, goals and dreams. I feel in the same way and I can't explain how this character is real and strong to me.
Besides, Sofia's direction is sensitive and quite beautiful. It's brilliant the way how she illustrates the changes in the world (tokyo!) of Charlotte after she met Bob.
