Review of Lost in Translation (2003) by Simon G — 13 Jul 2017
Writer/director Sofia Coppola creates a work of effortless and subtle beauty, the culture/language barrier of the title being a metaphor for the characters own feelings of confusion and emptiness. One of those rare films that marries laugh out loud comedy with genuine poignancy seamlessly.
An undisputed classic.
