Review of Lost in Space (1998) by Morpheus O — 16 Nov 2009
Arguably the worst TV show-movie transition ever. Poorly scripted, a swiss cheese plot, the worst CGI effects in a 90's blockbuster & Joey from Friends. The performances aren't entirely bad, however, aside from Gary Oldman and Jack Johnson. The latter being the 2nd worst juvenile performance of all time (Jake Lloyd in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace having the dubious honour of THE worst).
The only saving grace this film has is the fact it ended on a cliffhanger, prompting opportunity for a sequel which thankfully never materialised.
Do not watch this. Seek out the original TV series instead. The production values are infinitely better.
