Review of Lost in Space (1998) by Rodney E — 07 Jan 2013
Lost in Space is a case example of taking a TV show and trying to upgrade it for a wannabe blockbuster. While it starts off decently enough and has a strong cast, discluding Matt Leblanc, Lost in Space veers in territories of the ridiculous.
Part of the TV show's appeal was its limited but inventive (cheap) effects and trying to have a cgi razzle dazzle show didn't work. That little alien that they found was weak and the whole thing just wasn't really happening.
