Review of Lost in La Mancha (2002) by Steve S — 02 May 2008
A hell of an interesting documentary, and one that is truly heartbreaking on Gilliam's behalf. I know he may be this big dreamer and some people say he's "unrealistic" in terms of what he wants, but he's accomplished so many other things that turned out to be truly great in the past with these same expectations, I can't fault him in the least for trying.
To see him nearly cry at the end of this was just devastating, after how much of his life was invested in this project. I would still love to see his Quixote film get made.
