Review of Lost in La Mancha (2002) by Ryan C — 05 Jan 2012
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to watch a man's dreams gradually fall apart in front of your eyes? 'Lost in La Mancha' delivers an adorably woeful account of the "what can go wrong, will go wrong" filming of Terry Gilliam's adaptation of the classic Cervantes novel "Don Quixote.
" Perhaps the most tragic take-away from this documentary is that I really wanted to see the finished project. Aside from the fact that this novel is my favorite of all time, the would be film featured Johnny Depp and famous French acting legend Pierre Gamet.
This is a great documentary for those who are interested in see what all goes into the making of a film. It also could be a great example for young film makers of the perilous nature of movie making.
