Review of Lost Horizon (1937) by Rob S — 31 Jul 2007
Inside Capra's head is a strange place to be, and we're not always sure what he's thinking. Simultaneously charming and unnerving, Shangri-La is an evocative dreamscape. But the film is also rambling and rather shallow - although the worldly concerns that seem so twee now were entirely valid in 1937.
