Review of Lost Highway (1997) by Brendan B — 07 Aug 2009
One of Lynch's grittiest films, the weird mix of noir, adult film, Kafka and heavy metal slam your mind into high gear for an unforgettable ride that makes almost no sense at all on first viewing. There's a story here, though, you've just got to puzzle over it.
Or you could just let Lynch's unmatched use of sound editing and surrealism blow your mind. I'm not sure which I prefer.
