Review of Lost Highway (1997) by Brian S — 28 Aug 2009
Like most of David Lynch's films, Lost Highway is more experience than entertainment. From the cryptic message spoken through a door intercom, to the final chase through the nighttime desert, Lynch grabs you, sits you down, and says, "Watch, and I dare you to understand!".
I don't think we're meant to understand, but instead to appreciate the art of Lynch's creation-frantic, confusing, and erotic-we get sucked into his vision.
