Review of Lost Highway (1997) by Talya N — 28 Mar 2010
Okay, I've seen this movie multiple times, and I'm thoroughly tired of people dismissing this film's farcical narrative as Lynch being Lynch. It's a cop out and allows Lynch to be weird for weird's sake, using nonsense as a substitute for substance and style.
This film makes no sense, and I've tried to make it work on multiple layers, which can be done do a certain point at which Lynch being Lynch allows it all to unravel. Robert Loggia is at his B-Movie over the top best here, though.
