Review of Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008) by Phil N — 14 May 2009
Another wholly unnecessary DTV sequel that attempts (and fails) to recreate the 'magic' of the original film. The plot is literally a carbon copy of the first, with a brother and sister arriving back in town where they come into contact with a team of young surfer vamps.
It's reasonably entertaining to begin with but gradually reverts to type and my attention had waned long before the final showdown. Sutherland Jr (as the head vampire) is spectacularly awful and Corey Feldman (reprising his role from the first film) looks like he's been cryogenically frozen all that time.
Random trivia: I worked with director PJ Pesce on Sniper 3 in Thailand!
