Review of Lost Boys: The Tribe (2008) by Jewel D — 25 Mar 2009
This wasn't awful, but it felt really mundane. In part it felt like a complete rehash of the first "Lost Boys", but due to the "Buffy the Vampire" effect, it seemed like it had been done to death.
"Buffy" sapped the originality out of "hip" vampires by having seven seasons of various vampire slayings. "Buffy" seemed to orginally borrow a lot of its tricks from "Lost Boys", but now it feels like the tables have turned and "Lost Boys 2" is trying to be "Buffy".
The mystery of the missing Frog Brother was given some answers and a "surprise" post credit scene sets up the next "Lost Boys" which may have a little more meat than this title.
