Review of Loser (2000) by Jimmy M — 03 Aug 2009
With the late '90's/early 2000's slew of adolescent coming-of-age meets gross out comedies, it's only fitting that Amy Heckerling of "Clueless" and "Fast Times at Ridgemont High" step to the table.
Instead of the imagination and clever satire she brought to those classics (in their own right), Heckerling brings in a rather dull and, at times, mean-spirited addition. Leads Biggs and Suvari prove that they may be stars in "American Pie" but don't have much to offer outside of sticking their genitals into pastries.
