Despite the massive amount of liberties taken, this film version is still better than the 1963 one. Yeah, I know they're American, and I know they swear a lot, but I think that was put there to update the story for our chaotic times, even around 1990.
It feels more like the book than the 1963 one did, and.... I guess it's worth watching? I dunno, don't go out of your way to see it, but if you see one Lord of the Flies film adaptation, see this one.
