Review of Lord of the Flies (1963) by Hardy H — 10 Oct 2010
This movie is a true classic and although I heard that it doesn't exactly stay true to the novel, but I feel that it does convey the message that William wants us to know - that people become savages when they are faced with dire situations and that they go back into being primitive.
I especially like the idea of very young boys in the movie, because they add a great deal of characterization to the story. It shows the potential that they can become when they are older, and how they behaviour during childhood can reflect who they are going to be in the future.
8/10.
