Review of Looper (2012) by Padraig C — 02 Apr 2015
Amazingly well-written in exploring how destructive unlawful crime can be by using criminals as the main character's 2 versions seeing their lives ruined for participating in crime, the film brings upon a clever combination of science fiction (which fuels the film's element for the crime of time travel) and tragedy (with Old Joe's wife who first rebuffed his feelings but became the only source of happiness to him and later dying), Looper is a perfect film that proves a plot involving characters who are considered evil shouldn't exactly be called evil but aiming to repair their lives from tragedies that have been caused by the imperfect quest for life's luxuries.
