The underlying premise is so absurdly stupid nothing can overcome it. Criminals in one time stream send people to a different time stream to be assassinated by time-variance versions of said people. (Thier plan is to have people kill themselves in simple terms.
Hmm, what could go wrong). Given the movie's explained universe that is an indefensibly stupid thing to do.
