If Edge of Tomorrow was the best modern take on James Cameron's Aliens, then Looper is the best modern take on Cameron's Terminator. It should be no wonder both films star Emily Blunt. Writer/director Rian Johnson's superb time traveling action thriller has a blast with its concept, while simultaneously taking the story in some rather compelling and surprising directions.
.. If only they would ditch that distracting makeup on Joseph Gordon-Levitt's nose.
