Review of Looney Tunes: Back in Action (2003) by Tom R — 20 Jan 2010
Given that most animation/live action crossovers are not that good, Looney Tunes: Back in Action was pretty fun. Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and countless other Looney Tunes are actually funny like the Academy Award-winning Warner Brothers shorts of yesteryear.
I will agree with some reviewers that the live action actors didn't exactly act next to their cartoon costars, but this movie beats the heck out of Space Jam. Steve Martin is always funny, Brendan Fraser was solidly cast, and there were a lot of little in-jokes that were funny.
For what it's worth, I think parents and kids would find this movie entertaining.
