Review of Look Who's Talking (1989) by Phil F — 22 Aug 2011
Pure tripe. Travolta must have been suicidal at this decided artistic nadir. Actually, Staying Alive was probably the actual lowest point of his career, yet this effort was not loftier. Thank God for Quentin Tarantino, and the role of Vincent Vega that he provided Travolta in Pulp Fiction, which would again catapult Travolta into the spotlight.
I am sure that Bruce Willis, who was responsible for the annoying voice of Mikey in this film, was also thanking Tarantino (and God) for the jolt Pulp Fiction provided to his own body of work, which was also flagging at the time.
Two stars.
