Review of Longtime Companion (1989) by Adam P — 10 Jul 2008
Some solid, well-acted moments, and an interesting chronicle of the AIDS epidemic, but there are those heavy handed moments that keep it from greatness. The ending, for example, has a great positive spirit and yet is a little cringe inducing once the music starts to swell.
Nevertheless, it's still rare to see this many happy gay male couples in one movie so that's commendable.
