Review of Lonesome Jim (2005) by Madeline S — 19 Dec 2006
This is Clerks II as an unpretentious dryly comic drama with a brain, midwestern one, and without the guy buddy relationship; awh, hell, it's just a totally different movie about me when I moved back to Indiana, and later down to Tennessee to be with my mother, who is very much like Jim's.
Good work Steve. Very brave. Thanks for thinking of us midwesterners and tapping into the story of post-postmodern males of a certain 30-year-old dead end age. Thanks for the tunnel light and the hopefull possiblity of a pretty shot-knocking girl.
