Review of Lonesome Jim (2005) by Seth D — 08 Jul 2007
It's a decent film about a fairly cliche topic (depressed writer) that felt largely misdirected. A cast of talented actors playing fairly unlikable characters made the movie feel long and unpleasent.
Casey Affleck is a poor man's version of Milo Ventimiglia (who is the TV-version of Mark Ruffalo), and comes across fairly uninteresting. Liv Tyler would have been good, had she been given something more to work with.
