Review of Lonely Hearts (2006) by Monica P — 20 Aug 2007
Selma Hayek is the embodiment of obsession. She's never been so good (although I didn't see Frida). Jared Leto was barely recognizable--throwing aside his pretty boy looks and psychologically deteriorating before our eyes.
And Travolta--the lifeline of sanity between the viewer and the plot--was heartbreaking to watch. BUT...I was expecting more detail into how they conned pathetic women and not a literal definition of the title.
