Review of London River (2009) by Ollie W — 04 Mar 2012
Brenda Blethyn and Sotigui Kouyate's performances are among the best committed to celluloid in a very long time. This agonisingly authentic, completely un-pretentious story of the aftermath of the London 7/7 bombings is superbly realised by Rachid Bouchareb's flawless direction and is ultimately as tasteful, dignified and utterly disturbing as you would imagine from the cast, crew and central themes involved.
An absolute masterpiece.
