Review of London Boulevard (2010) by Bob L — 31 Jul 2011
All the actors in here are actually very good. The problem here is the actual guts of the film. It feels like each actor has been given a 'rough' script with their stereotyped characters few lines on, then thrown into a shot with likewise actors, and then they have to riff out a scene semi freestyle to flesh everything out.
The filming and styling are superb. The problem is, this is masking the fact there's very little substance in the story, and that's the one thing that would really make this a gem, but instead makes the first hour or so a laborious drudge to get anywhere.
