Review of Lolita (1962) by Mike M — 04 Oct 2011
The idea is creepy, but the film doesn't dwell on the sexual aspect, more the actual study of a relationship with such a huge age difference, and this is the films strength. And the direction is masterful.
My only gripe is that if I could see through Quilty's disguises, why couldn't Humbert? Otherwise, highly recommended.
