Review of Lolita (1962) by Calvin C — 22 Sep 2012
Disturbing then, still disturbing now, Stanley Kubrick's dark comedy about a man obsessed with a teenage girl is brilliant in some spots, but drags in others. I really liked Shelley Winters in this. The film does run a little too long and you start looking at your watch more toward the end. Peter Sellers can do no wrong in his small, yet pivitol role.
Grade: B.
