Review of Lolita (1962) by Kevin S — 13 Apr 2008
With screenplay by Nabakov, and despite what I can imagine was heavy censoring by the filmboard, this adaptation of the classic by Kubrick is definetly a classic in itself . The movie was perfect in portraying Nabakov's "Lolita" and HH, but I found it a bit lacking in humor, which was one of the major undercurrents in the book.
