Review of Lolita (1962) by Waiyde P — 18 Aug 2008
I think this film is judged a little too kindly simply for having the name Kubrick attached. It's very very good, teetering between 4 and 4&1/2 stars, but Kubrick still had some work to do. If the film could have been made with less restrictions, it could have hammered some points home better, as well.
Although, it did bounce around dangerous details quite ingeniously.
