Review of Lolita (1962) by Jeremy B — 10 Mar 2009
If only they'd been at liberty in 1962 to go everywhere the book did, this could have been a masterpiece-- it's beautifully filmed, there are some great performances, and Nabokov's funny screenplay is different from his novel in interesting ways.
Too delicate about key issues, though, and Peter Sellers is barging in from another movie entirely.
