Review of Lolita (1962) by Scott C — 24 Nov 2012
A vastly interesting, powerfully acted, often hilarious tragicomedy, "Lolita" - using youth as the vessel for the message - shows Kubrick's keen understanding of the trickiness of sexuality, control, and how they both form one of the most potent factors in the success of a romance.
A couple slightly less intriguing moments don't matter at all; this is yet another Stanley Kubrick masterpiece.
