Review of Logan's Run (1976) by William C — 08 Dec 2007
Interesting yet frustrating piece of work that never really takes off. It hasn't particularly aged well either.
It takes on sort of a Brave New World approach, with ethics taking second fiddle to progress in the futuristic dystopia. While this works at times and is indeed effective, often it misses by miles. The wooden performances (not even Peter Ustinov impressed me) only contribute to this.
Remake, anyone?
