You can try to overlook the 70's set design and costumes, and maybe even the miniatures doubling as a dome city (if you squeeze really hard). What you won't be able to overlook is how the movie stalls right before a tepid "this had to end sometime" climax.
The real tragedy for me is the utter waste of Peter Ustinov.
