Review of Logan's Run (1976) by Terry W — 17 May 2011
Logan is blond, cocky, and ready to rock. He has a ruby embedded in his palm and a gun in his holster. He's also three years away from thirty, and on the chase for anyone trying to live past it.
When the time comes to start the disgusting process of getting old, he'll invoke a clone to take over his life from scratch and float into an electrocution death zap. In the meantime, he'll zap some pesky runners from finding the mythical ankh sanctuary.
Then he meets Jessica 6 and her impossible green robe and he'd do anything to hit that. It doesn't hurt that she's not a slut, though he could definitely give her lessons on how to be one, exclusively, after she sniffs the man essences he's wafting her way.
Who put them n a hermetically sealed, post-apocalyptic urban environment anyway? An unfrozen David Bowie world leader cyborg in the year 3000? We'll never really know, but these pretty pre-thirty party animals are curious, dangerous and out of control.
