Review of Logan Lucky (2017) by Matt G — 22 Sep 2017
Cauliflower. Soderbergh's return strives for an idiosyncratic (and seemingly contradictory) middle ground between modest and cool. What shines through is a love for characters and their offbeat mannerisms.
The director and actors show an observant eye for the way people communicate to one another. Craig, Keough, Driver, and Tatum are all great (in that preferred order). In the end, it's a hyper-intelligent satire of the heist film, which Sodes has proven he's best in the business at.
