Review of Logan (2017) by Hazzagalla — 08 Mar 2017
Logan is an extremely good movie. Hugh Jackman's final outing of the Wolverine character is as perfect as anyone could have made. The action and violence is brutal but fantastically choreographed, the performances all around are very believable, the way the film is shot is very Western-like, dark and eerie.
A couple of problems though keep this film from being a masterpiece. The villain/s are pretty generic and weak, some scenes in the middle drag, some characters feel tossed in and there are a few conveniences and 'deus ex machina' moments throughout the film.
Nevertheless, the story and characters as a whole balance out these problems, resulting in Logan being up there with other great superhero films.
