Review of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) by Harrison M — 26 Apr 2010
A forgotten classic and the first movie from Guy Ritchie is almost too clever for its own good. The characters are not quite developed enough and the plot goes through one too many twists. But that does not undermine the fantastic style of the movie and the true joy ride that it is.
The script can also be funny at times. Lock Stock gets better with repeat viewings and I definately recommend seeing it.
