Review of Live Free or Die Hard (2007) by Harry S — 20 Nov 2014
Not quite Die Hard 4 pointless, as some had described it, but unsurprisingly not a classic either.
The original Die Hard remains the classic 'Bruce Willis in a vest' performance, and Ben today, it remains punchy, funny, engaging and most importantly, entertaining. The sequels, and Die Hard 4.0 is no exception, simply have not kept up the standard. The plot is ludicrous, as is Willis' increasingly macho persona, but there is just enough in the fourth installement to justify a viewing. Just.
