Review of Live by Night (2016) by Carlos I — 22 Mar 2017
Not at all as bad as people are trying to claim. The worst part is probably just Afflecks accent dipping in and out. Besides that, the story is a little bloated; trying to fit all this story in makes it come off as a little episodic rather than filmic.
If anything the screenplay or editing just needed some tightening. Otherwise, it's an entertaining period gangster flick, with some beautiful imagery.
